Rugs can be woven from my fabric or your stash of treasured but tired textiles, to match a color story or simply to turn a pile of unworn souvenir t shirts into something that’s both useful and attractive, rather than “oh so crafty…”
Chose from several patterns and a number of roughly-reproducible color stories. No two rugs will be identical, however, as I use recovered and recycled textiles to create unique works of art.
Handwoven rugs are created on a Newcomb Studio art rug loom that has been in nearly continuous use since 1959 ,when it rolled out of the factory and went to its first home in Berea.

Springtime is a twill rug woven from recycled t shirts and other textiles, in the colors visible on March 23, 2012, near my home in east-central North Carolina. Wisteria, kerria, oak flowers, daffodils, quince, on a pink warp.
